Testimonials

lynda.com often receives unsolicited e-mails from satisfied customers. Here are a few recent comments.

What a great help!

Just a note to say "thank you" for providing a service where people new to web design can get the help they need. The tutorials are priceless and I use them every day.

Seeing it on artist's terms

I wanted to extend my thanks to those at lynda.com for the Artist Series with Hillman Curtis.

I work as the only in-house designer for a large level 2 trauma center in Casper, Wyoming. I don't get the opportunity to hear from many other designers about how they approach their trade and what it means to them.

I am encouraged and inspired when I have the chance to hear and see a series such as this one.

A person can read about an artist, but it doesn't compare to actually seeing the artist explain it in their own terms.

Good job and thanks again.

A window into worlds

I've been a subscriber for several years now and I've attended Flashforward...so I'm a real fan. Your new Artist Series course with Hillman Curtis is a wonderful addition to your training. I just watched it and feel totally inspired. I also enjoyed your interview with Simone. Please continue to bring us inspirational material that shows a window into worlds that we might not ever have the opportunity to visit firsthand.

More artist series

Thanks for the Artist Series. I hope you have more of these.
- robert w. - 3/2008

Thanks for Milton Glaser

Your new Artist Series is wonderful. Especially Milton Glaser, with his wonderful insights into the value of being an artist, other than technical skills. lynda.com, you continue to outdo yourself.

Thanks for the inspiration

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Artist Series. We get a bit isolated here at the bottom of the world (Nelson, New Zealand) so thanks for the inspiration.

More creative series

I really loved the tokidoki tutorial. I’d love to see more of these types of tutorials.

Spot-on.

Just wanted to let you know that I just finished with my first year’s subscription with lynda.com and I signed up for another. In the past year I viewed over 2,400 movies with lynda.com and have been very pleased. Your trainers are enthusiastic and deep in their knowledge about their products, and the topics discussed are spot-on for me. The timing of your releases keeps pace with emerging software and technology. This is the single best investment I have made in education in the 25+ years I have spent in IT. Thanks and keep up the great service!!!

Loyalist to lynda.com

Having logged hundreds of hours, I am a loyalist to the lynda.com party. I have to say, the tokidoki: Creative Inspiration tutorial was quite excellent! It was like candy to actually see someone (not just the screenshot and a voiceover) using Illustrator and going through the process, cutting back and forth between screen and live presenter. I wouldn't say all the videos should be like this, but more of them could be. It gave me a real connection to the presenter and kept me from falling asleep or wandering off in my head. Please consider doing more of these types of tutorials.

Keep on going!

I would like to say that the Entourage 2008 training is very useful to me. I've learned a lot of things! The trainer is pretty good; he speaks fast (my native language is Dutch), but I can understand clearly what he is teaching. So, keep on going, my friends!

Thanks for the immersion

I have just finished Illustrator CS3 Essential Training with Mordy Golding. Thanks so much for this wonderful immersion into a great piece of software. While I’m nowhere near proficient, I appreciate that I can return to lessons and re-view them. Mordy's style is friendly and I really learned a lot from the movies.

Fallen in love

I think I have fallen in love with your company. I am just eating up everything every chance I get. What a great service! I just might be a lifer if you keep adding.

Awesome style

I really enjoyed Simone Legno. He really inspired me like intended. AND, the way he taught is really great too. His style is awesome for my way of learning. I loved his repetitiveness, he didn't talk over my head or seem like we all should know what he was talking about. I found it super helpful. Like in martial arts or sports, repetition gets the movement into your muscle memory. Thank you sooooo much. What a great idea. What a perfect person to choose. I hope he enjoyed it. I really did. Can't wait to see more.

Learned more than what was in the book

I just finished one of the Adobe Flash courses on lynda.com. Then I looked back at the Adobe printed manual. Wow, I learned more than was in that book with your practical videos and sample lesson files. Thanks for saving me so much time.

Never cease to be amazed

Being a subscriber now for many years, you never cease to amaze me. You keep producing an amazing amount of quality stuff! Discovering the new AIR course with David Gassner this morning as I logged in brought a smile, and a "wow!" to my lips. You're right there on the edge, aren't you! Thanks a lot guys! :))
- henrik h. - 2/2008

Crash course

A potential client asked me if I knew how to use a particular software. As a contractor, I told the client that I had limited knowledge but to give me a few hours. Sure enough, using lynda.com, I got a crash course and got the work the next day!! Thanks lynda.com!!
- jacques d. - 2/2008

Excellent

Creative Inspiration with Simone Legno was excellent. Thanks.
- michael r. - 2/2008

Bring it on!

AWESOME! BRING IT ON!!!

You listened…I had recommended designers on here about three years ago! Wow. You listened!
- denise s. - 2/2008

Kick in the pants.

Wow, the Hillman Curtis series on designers is inspirational, informational, and a nice kick in the pants to push myself. And I'm not really a designer; I'm an illustrator. Thanks for adding these to your list.
- jt m. - 2/2008

Love your service

Thank you for making it easy for a current and continuing subscriber to get the free month benefit from Adobe registration. I'm sure you are looking for new customers through this channel, but by clearly extending my next bill date you made it very easy and clear that an existing customer could get this benefit as well. Thanks. I love your service.
- jeffrey h. - 2/2008

I'll be back.

Thanks a lot for this email. Unfortunately I'm too busy to enroll with you now. I am very pleased to have been a customer with you for a long time and will surely join you in the future when I get a chance. I have gained a lot being a subscriber for many years. The quality of the training and the great customer service will always keep you on the top of the list.

More artist series

Thanks for the interview content. It was interesting and inspiring. And fun to watch! Keep up the awesome work!

Saved my life!

I am a full-time student and one of the requirements for graduation is to take the computer competency test. It consists of four parts: internet, word processing, spread sheets, and databases. I did fine on the first two but failed terribly on the second two. But now that I have you I will be able to pass with flying colors! Thank you!

As if that wasn't enough, this will help even more in my field of study in graphic design. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Easily the best purchase I will make this year!
- jennifer j. - 2/2008

More artist series

I hope you guys have more Creative Inspiration presentations like this one. Maybe about other illustrators, designers, and photographers.
- gaby r. - 2/2008

Thrilled with the site

I took a class from Lynda herself around 1995. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Most of the confidence I have in these programs was directly related to her teaching style. I am at the level I am today thanks to that one class.

I was thrilled to find out about the website. I saw a book at Barnes and Noble. I wondered if it was her; so I went to the website. That is how I found out about it. Now I use it almost every day.
- elaine h. - 2/2008

Going your own way

I loved the interview with Simone Legno. I think he is such a warm, giving, creative human being. Thanks for the inspiration to go your own way.
